Mike Smith
Having been brought up in a musical environment, it was inevitable that Mike would make a name for himself as an artist in his own right, but not without earning his spots first.
Mike has paid his dues as a sideman over the last fifteen years with the likes of Elkie Brooks, Tony Hadley, Kid Creole, Heather Small, ABC and Sandi Thom.
In 2016, he was asked to work alongside the international brand CREAM as their sax and keys player for the CREAM CLASSICS tour in 2016-2019 with K-Klass and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
A musician from the age of 10, he went onto study at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where he now works as a part time lecturer.
His diverse and wide ranging experience have given him kudos amongst his peers and he has become one of the most sought after sax players in his price range.
Mike has several of his own albums out on the ‘Ameritz’ record label under his brand name of gingertunes.

In his spare time Mike holds a private pilots license and can often be spotted flying around the country in search of midi horn offenders.
Jamie Brownfield
At the age of 9 Jamie began brass lessons at school. At 13 he formed his first band ‘The JB Quintet’ and the following year recorded his first CD ‘No Animals Were Harmed.
After many years of competing, performing and parading he left the brass band world and joined the famous ‘The Bill Basey Big Band’.
In 2016 Jamie formed “The Jamie Brownfield Quartet”. They recorded their first CD ‘Go Down To New Orleans’ and were awarded a place of the ‘Jazz North’ scheme in 2017.
Jamie regularly appears as a guest with house rhythm sections and clubs, festivals , shows, as well as a studio session player.
In 2012 Jamie was awarded 1st place in the ‘Rising Star’ category of the British Jazz Awards.
In 2017 British Airways launched their new service from Heathrow direct to New Orleans and he was lucky enough to be chosen by John Cleary & Yolanda Brown to perform on-board the aircraft at 36,000ft during the crossing along with Nicole Scherzinger.
Jamie regularly performs at prestigious events and venues, and often for celebrities including;
Outside of Music Jamie holds his private pilots license and is also a flying instructor at Welshpool Airport, Mid Wales.
